About ANRANT

Australian National Register of Accredited Natural Therapists is the professional register of accredited natural therapists.

The Australian National Register of Accredited Natural Therapists (ANRANT) is the professional register of accredited natural therapists. The ANRANT is a multi-discipline register created to protect the public interest and safety through the maintenance of minimum standards in education and practice.

Disciplines/Therapies covered by the register include:

  • Acupuncture*
  • Aromatherapy
  • Ayurveda
  • Chinese Herbal Medicine*
  • Counselling
  • Homoeopathy
  • Musculoskeletal Therapy
  • Myotherapy
  • Naturopathy
  • Nutrition
  • Oriental Remedial Massage Therapy
  • Remedial Massage Therapy
  • Shiatsu
  • Western Herbal Medicine

CMBA Registration Required.

The public can check if a natural therapist is accredited in any of the above disciplines/therapies and is registered with ANRANT by searching for a practitioner by name, discipline or postcode on the online ANRANT.

Practitioners registered with ANRANT are required to:

  • have approved qualifications and training in natural therapy disciplines
  • have a minimum of $1m. professional indemnity insurance cover and 5m. for acupuncture, chinese medicine and tcm
  • have senior first aid qualifications
  • undertake 20 hours of Continuing Professional Education annually
  • abide by the National Standards and Scope of Practice
  • abide by practice policies and guidelines
  • registration with the CMBA for Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine or Traditional Chinese Medicine
